Well... my journey back home on Saturday was quite interesting.
I can't remember when we left school, but we got to the airport around 4:20am (hehe), and then everyone else got checked in around 5:30am. At this point I was running on no sleep for about... 48ish hours. I was delirious, needless to say.
At around 6:30am, I went up to the counter to ask if I could get an earlier flight, and the man said, "sure, let me check... once you've waited in line like everyone else!" So I trudged to the back of the line, and waited for about 45 mins. only to find out that I was in the wrong line... So I went to the correct counter, and the man who helped me was hilarious, and saved me a bunch of money, and got me on earlier flights for free to boot!
So I ran upstairs to go through security, and got on a flight to Chicago at 7:45am. I arrived at 9:45am, and was so delirious, I read the gates wrong, and went to sleep for an hour at the wrong gate. When I woke to the announcer, "now boarding for Fargo" I figured it out, and ran to the next terminal, to E7, instead of F7...
I arrived in Charolette around 2:30 and instead of waiting for a flight to Fayetteville until 11pm, my dad came to pick me up on the motorcycle. We live about three hours from Charlotte, I hadn't slept, and I was riding on the back of a motorcycle... We got home at around 7, and I ate two man sized portions of meatloaf (which I don't like, but was that hungry) and some ribs. Then I waited around till 11:20pm so that I could go pick up my luggage from the Fayetteville airport. When my sister and I got there, the plane had been delayed for about an hour, and we waited for lugged for an extra thirty minutes only to see... THEY LOST MY LUGGAGE. It's almost 1am. I haven't slept for almost 72 hours, and I am livid. We leave and decide the best thing to do at this point is to go to walmart and buy some things we need. I get home around 2am, and die.
Only to wake up at 7:45 am to drive 5 1/2 hours to West Virginia to pick up my new old car. My dad drove with me. We leave the house around 9am, and get back around 9pm. I feel so dead... I have to wake up to drop off my sister because she went on a trip, and when I get back home, I take a three hour nap, it was glorious! Today, I've been up since 8am, and have just been lounging around, waiting to go to the movies...
I leave for Asheville on Friday.
this is the end.
chels.
